The Bridesview team love an outdoor wedding and we love a great theme so the fact that Samantha and Nick’s Sacramento, CA wedding covers both of those bases is a special treat. Nick and his boys pulled off the gangster look perfectly and Samantha makes such a lovely Moll! Add to that the beautiful scenery, the amazing cake and the fabulous job Perfect Moment Photography did of capturing it and you have one very special wedding album!

There is much more for you to see from this fun affair at the Bridesview.com site so don’t forget to check it out. And what are your thoughts about themed weddings? We’d love to hear them so why not stop by the Bridesview Facebook page as well and share them?

Bethany and Dan Photography: Deanna and Eirik

There is quite the tech story behind this gorgeous Napa Valley, CA wedding as shared with us by the super talented husband and wife team of Bethany and Dan Photography.

First of all, Deanna and Eirik met on Facebook. Then when the Norwegian groom’s Mom was unable to make the trip to the US for the wedding she still got to see it all - thanks to the father of the groom’s iPad and Skype! Isn’t the Internet a wonderful thing?

The Bridesview team love everything about this sweet and simple wedding, especially the amazing way that Bethany and Dan captured all the emotion of the day. We still have plenty more to share with you from it too, if you head on over to Bridesview.com. And the next time you are checking your Facebook page why not stop by ours and share your thoughts about this lovely celebration - or any of the others we have featured here.

    Jeff Tisman: Inna and Scott

As you can see from these photos taken by Jeff Tisman, Inna and Scott’s Hamburg, New Jersey wedding was a beautiful affair. And because a member of the Bridesview team has a bit of an “in” with the bride we were lucky enough to hear from Inna about what inspired her wedding choices. “ We wanted something that was going to be very classy but simple and to incorporate the beauty of nature. We got extremely lucky as the weather cooperated and we had a gorgeous sunset during our ceremony”.

Inna also had some advice to share about a subject very dear to the Bridesview team’s interests - the photography. ”A great photographer is really important so spend some time looking at different portfolios. Also leave at least a few hours for pictures. We had about 2 hours and I wish we have 2 more as there were so many beautiful places to take pictures at our resort.

Don’t forget to ask the photographer to take pictures of the reception room before all the guests arrive. Lastly, don’t worry about the bottom of your dress getting dirty while taking pictures, even if you take them before the ceremony. No one will see the bottom of your dress and its not worth the stress of worrying about it. The great pictures you will have are completely worth it!”

To see the rest of the lovely pictures of this wedding please visit Bridesview.com. And a little disclosure - the handsome gent to the far right at the back in the second picture down here is none other than our very own Alex - co founder of Bridesview .

Leigh Skaggs Photography: Courtney and Billy

Here at Bridesview we love a beach wedding (well, we just love weddings but..) and this Virginia Beach, VA wedding, as shot by Leigh Skaggs Photography, is a great one don’t you agree? We love the simple elegance and the fun vibe as well as those lovely jewel colored bridesmaid dresses.

We also love the beautiful bride Courtney, who was good enough to take some time to share her wisdom about what she learned from planning her big day that might help brides to be still planning theirs. She told us “The first thing I realized was that you can definitely have the day of your dreams on a budget. More expensive does not always mean better. Although there are a few things I would not recommend skimping on (like the DJ or Photographer), there are some things that don’t require spending too much.”

“We came up with some do-it-yourself, yet beautiful ideas for centerpieces, flowers, and aisle decorations and we were totally pleased with how they turned out. Sometimes less is more, especially when planning a beach wedding It’s important to realize that you only get to do this once and that no matter what, when it’s all over, you will probably be more pleased with how everything turned out than you ever could have imagined”

Great advice don’t you think? We think everything certainly turned out beautifully!

If you love this wedding there are even more great shots up on Bridesview.com for you to see, where you can also vote for it by “loving” the elements that appeal to you most.

Leigh Skaggs Photography: Michelle and Ryan

All of the brilliant colors are of course the first thing you notice about this wonderful waterfront Virginia wedding. As well as the fact that Michelle and Ryan choose perhaps some of the most delicious looking centerpieces we have ever seen!

Looking through this stunning album we were also struck by just how relaxed and natural the happy couple look in every picture. Amazing to think that Leigh Skaggs Photography told us that at their initial meeting the couple mentioned how uncomfortable they were being in front of the camera!

Love this wedding? Then don’t forget to show it some by clicking the “love button” and then the next time you are checking your Facebook why not stop by the Bridesview Facebook page and let us know what really appealed to you!

    McFadden Studios: Shannon and Vince

Every couple who plan an outdoor wedding know that they may be at the mercy of the weather on their big day, however well thought out it is. Many will choose to move things inside if the rain starts, but that was not the case for Shannon and Vince when the heavens opened up just as the groom and groomsmen headed out for the altar at their clifftop Fort Bragg, CA wedding.

Instead, as you can see from these great photographs from McFadden Studios, everyone decided to tough it out (with the help of a few umbrellas) and a great time was still had by all. The band even played on! The wedding was coordinated by Mendocino Weddings (http://www.mendocinoweddings.com).

Love this dramatic outdoor wedding shoot? You can see it in its entirety at Bridesview.com. And don’t forget, the next time you are on Facebook drop by the Bridesview Facebook page,  to say hi or to share your thoughts on this great wedding shoot - or any of the others we feature - with everyone.

Michael Sink Photography: Kelly and Aaron

The one enemy of even the best planned of outdoor weddings is the weather and many a bride has spent the early part of her big day nervously watching the forecast. Kelly and Aaron’s wedding, captured here by Michael Sink Photography , was no exception.

In fact in Troutville, VA where the couple were getting married, the forecast was calling for a thunderstorm. However to not put any more stress on an already nervous bride, her mother and her attendants devised a media blackout - keeping Kelly safely occupied with prepartaons in her room as a storm - drowned out by music - did indeed pass overhead.

As you can see though, the rain went away and the rest of the day proceeded without a hitch. And the Bridesview team could not help but notice what a striking and dramatic backdrop the departing rain clouds made for Kelly and Aaron’s pictures together!

Love this wedding? We have plenty more at Bridesview.com for you to enjoy! And don’t forget to stop by the Bridesview Facebook page to tell us which are your favorites - or even just to say hi.

Rhee Bevere Photography: Amanda and Chris

There are some wedding venues that just seem to have been built just to host a romantic wedding like Amanda and Chris’ even if they were not and the Jefferson Street Mansion in Benicia, CA is just such a place. In actual fact though it is a restored Civil War era home that was once the home of Generals Sherman and Grant.

The Bridesview team love all of the elegant details about this wedding but what really struck us about this wonderful shoot from Rhee Bevere Photography was Amanda’s dress and just how gorgeous she looked in it.

To see more of Rhee Bevere’s work you can also revisit Sylvia and Johnny’s wedding that we featured here a few weeks ago. And don’t forget there are many more beautiful photographs to inspire you of this wedding and so many others on the Bridesview site itself as well as on the Bridesview Facebook page.

    Jo Photo: Jennifer and Michael

Family traditions often pay a big part at a wedding and in the case of Jennifer and Michael’s Tennessee nuptials that was certainly very true.

Jo Photo - who took all of these amazing shots - told us that not only was the officiant a close friend of the couple’s but that the beautiful gown and cathedral veil that Jennifer wore belonged to her mother. Michael and Jennifer then also honored a wedding tradition followed by the groom’s family - that every married couple drink from a large gold cup.

The happy couple also added plenty of new ideas of their own. The Bridesview team love the book centerpieces and the florals are gorgeous.

Love this wedding? Let us know why at the Bridesview Facebook page and then do not miss the rest of the amazing images Jo Photo shared with us of this stunning Southern affair that can be found at Bridesview.com

Amy Tucker Photography: Jessica and Michael

Pennsylvania couple Jessica and Michael were married in private chapel that sits beside the Brandywine River. The Bridesview team were lucky enough to hear all about the inspiration for the wedding right from the bride herself.

Jessica told us “ Nature along with family and friends.  We wanted to feel comfortable and have our guests feel comfortable.  We chose an outdoor setting with an open air chapel with a relaxed feel.  Also, we chose to have a true ‘do it yourself’ wedding to ensure that it was personal, enjoyable, and very much us.” And as you can see from these great shots from Amy Tucker Photography it truly was a unique day to remember.

And for those of you in the planning stages of your wedding, Jessica had one last great piece of advice: “No matter what everyone will tell you, be sure to trust and listen to yourself as a couple because it is just the beginning of your adventures”
